MMA Shin Protection is generally lighter weight and more flexible, allowing for a greater range of movement in a variety of sparring and training situations. Muay Thai or Kickboxing Shin Guards usually offer more protection, while modern varieties, such as the Thai Original Shin Guard, also offer protection to the Knee.

Revgear's Pinnacle Shin Guards are lightweight but feature a double pad at the front to slow the impact of both kicks and checks, with a strong but flexible seam between the foot and shin for excellent mobility. They are embedded with layers of anti-shock Rev-Tech Gel padding and extra cushioning on the back of the leg to prevent irritation, with an open back for ventilation and a soft underside.

Revgear's Defender Gel Shin Guards are 100% durable leather with a pre-curved shape and high-compression padding. They have a low-cut design to fit under the knee, allowing greater range for MMA and protection for kickboxing, with high-density foam ensuring good impact absorption.
